Why were the Southerners camped alongside the ridge north of Charlottesville? And what brought Custer to Albemarle County? For the answers to these, and countless other, Virginia history questions, join us at these two new events! About Rick Britton: A much-sought-after speaker, Rick Britton is the author of the award-winning Jefferson: A Monticello Sampler. He also conducts tours of Civil War battlefields, illustrates maps for history books and web-sites, and organizes history programming for the Senior Center of Charlottesville.
